When everyday life constantly overwhelms you, you can no longer switch off, or you still feel drained after the weekend.
When fears hold you back, panic overwhelms you, or your mood has been low for weeks.
When you eat out of stress, want to move more, or handle smoking, alcohol and screens more consciously.

We are in balance when our feelings, impulses and actions fit our goals. Ongoing stress, crises or mental illness can tip this balance – and this is exactly where I come in.
I support you in two areas: with mental health conditions through clinical psychological treatment, and with stress, sleep and habits through health psychology counselling.
Evidence-based treatment for mental health conditions – personal, grounded in science and tailored to your life situation.
Cognitive behavioural therapy, complemented by mindfulness and acceptance strategies.
I am happy to deliver treatment fully in English.
Scientifically proven strategies for less stress, restful sleep and healthier habits – so you can find your balance again.
In counselling I use scientifically proven methods of stress management, motivation and behaviour change. The aim is change that holds up in everyday life – not quick fixes that fade after a few weeks.
I also consult in English.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) works with what is on your mind today. Together we look at the thoughts, feelings and habits that weigh on you – taking into account your life story, your relationships, and your personal strengths and resources.
Mindfulness and acceptance strategies complement this approach: they help you notice difficult thoughts and feelings without being swept away by them.

Write to me using the form, by email, or give me a call. You will usually hear back within one to two working days.
In a first session we clarify your concerns and goals together, and whether working together makes sense.
Treatment or counselling then continues in regular one-to-one sessions – structured, goal-oriented and tailored to your individual situation.

“As a psychologist and researcher working on stress, sleep and habits, I bring current scientific knowledge directly into clinical practice.”

Clinical psychologist, health psychologist and lecturer – with a passion for research and practice.
I grew up in the Salzkammergut, studied and did research in Vienna, Graz and Copenhagen, and spent several years in psychosomatic rehabilitation. Since 2017 I have been working with people in my own practice in Salzburg; alongside this, I teach health psychology and lead the Balance Lab.
My research focuses on stress and recovery in everyday life – especially how sleep, mood and habits such as eating and exercise are connected.

At the Balance Lab at an Austrian university, my team and I study how everyday strain shapes sleep, mood and habits – with smartphone studies, questionnaires and measurements of heart rate and sleep. The multi-year research project “Ruhepuls” (resting pulse) asks how people find calm again after stressful days.

As a lecturer I teach health psychology and stress research. What students learn there is the same state of research I work with in practice.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please briefly describe your concern – I will get back to you as soon as possible.
